Claire Coles at The Garnet Stores

We are thrilled to be able to introduce you to our new window artist for the Summer and hope you will be able to join us on Thursday 4th July between 5-7pm at The Garnet Stores to celebrate it’s unveiling.

Claire Coles is a contemporary British artist renowned for her intricate hand-stitched artworks that blur the line between fine art and craft. With a background in embroidery, Coles translates her love for pattern and textiles into stunning mixed-media pieces that have garnered international acclaim. Using the foot of her sewing machine like a pencil, Claire creates fluid and organic lines, that allow her hand cut fabrics to come together and bloom in her contemporary take on traditional chinoiserie. 

All designs are handmade in her Norfolk studio.

Claire works with her clients to create bespoke pieces that reflect their vision. Her patterns translates across many mediums from fashion print, packaging, ceramics to wallpapers. Previous clients have included Ted Baker, Anthropologie, Liberty London and more recently Diptyque.
